On Sunday, 15 March 2015, Alvin Tam was ordained at Sunnybank District Baptist Church.
Alvin graduated from BST with a Master of Divinity in 2009. Originally from Hong Kong, Alvin migrated to Australia in 2004. He became a born-again believer at the age of 17 and has been passionate about serving in the church. Earlier in his career Alvin was a research analyst in property consultancy, and later worked in banking and finance.
His desire to serve the Lord led him to study at BST so that he could gain a better understanding of the Bible and to pursue ministry training.
Since leaving BST Alvin has been serving in pastoral ministry and hopes to pursue further theological studies by undertaking a research project while in ministry.
