Buffy the BST tutor

Elizabeth "Buffy" Greentree
Elizabeth “Buffy” Greentree, BST tutor

BST’s newest member of the tutoring team has a penchant for writing and killer rowing skills. Elizabeth Greentree, most commonly known to her family and friends as Buffy–let’s face it, the name will catch on at college–joins BST this week offering tutoring support to our students.
We’ve already had suggestions for Buffy’s new title (courtesy of Jonny Lush): “Buffy the Assignment Slayer”–for those who don’t know, it’s a play on words based on the 90s tv show featuring Buffy, a teenage protagonist who slayed vampires with her ninja-like skills–which is really appropriate considering that assignments can be scary, suck the life out of you, seem unconquerable at times, and need to be executed with skill and precision.
Buffy is only too happy to offer her support to our students on researching topics and providing tips for essay-writing. She comes from a strong academic background with a Bachelor of Arts (1st class honours) in Classics and Archaeology from Melbourne University, a Master of Divinity from Melbourne School of Theology, and a Graduate Certificate in Business Management. She’s currently in discussions with Ridley on the prospects of undertaking a PhD in theology.
Buffy has spent time as an academic tutor for Melbourne Uni and its colleges, and worked as an ESL teacher in Australia and Japan. She is experienced in skills assessments for immigration visas and was recently the Boarding House Supervisor at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School.
With a passion for teaching and writing, she is currently working on a number of Christian fiction novels, one of which was a finalist in the CALEB Christian writing competition. In the next few weeks she hopes to bring out the first episode of a Christian chic-lit serial on Amazon.
We look forward to getting to know Buffy and finding out just how she got her nickname.
