In the chapel commencement service for 2019, Richard Gibson asks the question, “What is BST about and in essence what are you here for?” To make sense of the purpose of BST, he goes back nearly 2000 years to the passage in 2 Timothy 2:2 “Entrust what you heard me say in the presence of many others as witnesses to faithful people who will be competent to teach others.” What we can learn from this passage of scripture is absolutely crucial to the future of Christianity and the spread of the gospel.
