Finding the heart of Jesus in his prayer

John Coulson
John Coulson, Deputy Principal, Lecturer in Bible

In John 17, just before Jesus was about to go to the cross, he prayed for a number of crucial things.

One of them is for believers to be in unity. How do we attain unity? What does unity look like? The heart of what Jesus prayed is something we need to understand in order for us to grasp the concept of unity.
In this prayer, Jesus didn’t adopt a passive attitude to God’s sovereignty. In fact, God’s sovereignty is a reason for prayer. Catch up on last week’s sermon with John Coulson.
