The day Jason Bryan-Brown decided to become a follower of Christ, he was so inspired that he dive right in to read all of Genesis and Revelation in one sitting. He had a strong a desire to know what happened in the beginning and what was to happen in the end. Little did he know then that six years later he would be doing a Master of Divinity-level project on Revelation.

Expository preaching is not always easy to get right. Yet when it’s done well there is a richness to this form of preaching that helps a speaker to unpack the truths in a passage of Scripture.

While the Senior Pastor at Rosalie Baptist Church was away on a well-deserved holiday with his family, our Principal Rev Dr Richard Gibson stepped in to help out and preach a series on Titus.

BST’s longest-serving volunteer is retiring after 35 years on the college Board. Alan Shanks served in various roles on the Board including Chairman and Company Secretary. We are so thankful for his contributions to BST in helping to steer the college to where it is today.

I was really impressed with the whole team, particularly by their humility, willingness to learn, and their openness to give things a go.

Mentoring is an important part of our ministry training program at Brisbane School of Theology. This year we welcomed a new women’s mentor, Mrs Kylie Brown who studied her Master of Divinity at SMBC and has ministry experience with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students and also at Kenmore Presbyterian Church where she serves in the children’s ministry and music team.

How does the Bible fit together? Many are perplexed by this. Our students were able to delve deeper in studying the unity of the Bible and how we should respond to the Bible in the way it demands of us.
