Testing: what can we learn from Israel's time in the wilderness?

Dr Alan Stanley, Director of Postgraduate Studies and Lecturer in Bible and Theology

How did Israel go from singing praises to the Lord of their miraculous escape from Egypt to grumbling just three days later?

Dr Alan Stanley preached on Exodus 15:22-16:18; 17:1-7, reminding us of Israel’s experience in the wilderness and what led to their grumbling. Israel was conscious of God’s presence when he got them out of Egypt. But in just three days in the wilderness, they quickly forgot what God had done. What can we learn from their experience?
