OMF Adventure Camps – $500
“The Thailand Adventure Camp ministry seeks to share the gospel with young Thai people in a fun and exciting environment. For more than 10 years now, Adventure Camps have been run in South Thailand, including activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, caving, jungle trekking and camping in tents. The natural surroundings give great opportunities to share ‘Lessons from Nature’, linking thoughts and stories about the nature all around to talking about God and spiritual matters in a manner similar to the way Jesus told parables to his followers. Other goals of Adventure Camp are to train young Thai Christians in leadership, and to give an opportunity for expats to be involved in short-term mission trips with a difference.
“Last year, the Adventure Camp ministry expanded into Central Thailand, partnering with Thai pastors in CT to run a camp in October. CAC assisted in this camp providing funding for travel of AC team members and equipment from South Thailand. One young man became a Christian just after camp, due to the caring, Christian atmosphere he experienced on camp. A number of burnt-out pastors were also encouraged and challenged to keep serving the Lord through the camp. More camps are scheduled in 2023 in both South Thailand and Central Thailand.
