On 2-3 March, we were once again privileged to spend two days at the beautiful Camp Somerset for our annual college camp.
Camp is always a highlight of the year for everyone able to attend. There’s great food, fantastic company, an amazing location with plenty of activities—the pool (including some volleyball), great walks, plenty of green grass and local wildlife, and all the board games and table tennis any bible college student could wish for!

This year, our Acting Principal Robert Edwards led us through what it really means to be an ‘evangelical’ in today’s world, and finding the recipe for endurance in our faith. On the second day, we were blessed to hear from some of our own current staff and students about their extensive time spent on the mission field in various places around the world; the challenges, the opportunities, and the way God has moved in their lives and ministry.
On the Monday night, the Student Committee put on a series of mini-game challenges that got everyone up and moving in a frenetic display of team-building (and occasional double-crossing), and then it was onto board games and chats late into the night.
College camp is a highlight not only because it’s fun, and because we get a chance to learn about God and his mission in a different context… But also because it’s a chance for students (both ongoing and new to the college) to connect in a meaningful way, to form some great friendships early in the year, and to find people who they can talk to and pray with throughout their time studying at BST.
We are so glad to have had a great turnout to camp in 2026, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to grow closer to Jesus (and each other) throughout the rest of the year.
