DEPUTY PRINCIPAL, ACADEMIC DEAN, LECTURER IN BIBLE
John has more than 35 years of experience in church leadership and ministry in the Brisbane area. He has worn many different hats in his life, including working for the government in IT and statistics, but is happy that his current job allows him to live his passion – teaching the Bible – which he has been doing at BST since 2004. John's DipMin was gained at Garden City College of Ministries and he did his BTh and MTh here at BST, focusing his MTh on Jesus and the Spirit in Paul’s letters. His most recent accomplishment is publishing The Righteous Judgment of God: Aspects of Judgment in Paul's Letters. John has been involved for over 20 years at Hillsong Brisbane, part of the Australian Christian Churches (formerly AOG), and his main ministry there is teaching and mentoring new Christians. John and his wife Rowena are both originally from Queensland and have four children. John loves camping with his family, going running with his dog in the park and having friends over for a barbecue. He also enjoys working in his garden but finds that the busyness of life often comes between him and his beloved plants.
