How can the whole church be better equipped to love the whole person?
How can the church help those facing mental health challenges, crises, transitions, trauma, or relationship breakdown?
Living Wholeness Institute and Brisbane School of Theology offer courses aimed at integrating faith with practical skills for pastoral care.
These courses are for believers wanting to be better equipped to serve God and His church and provide a wholistic model of pastoral care. It is designed for the whole church with specific skills integration for pastors, chaplains, missionaries, pastoral care workers, volunteers and mental health professionals.

TERM 1 – God-Centred Transformation
This seven week course is aimed at equipping the whole church with the foundational skills of the Christian Wholeness Framework.
Skills-based strand groups* will be offered for the following:
- Mental health professionals
- Pastors, Church leaders, missionaries, and chaplains
- Church volunteers and pastoral carers
* Pending registrations

Cost
$450 for one person per term
We are passionate about people who already know each other working together within the content of the courses. If you know someone who you would like to do the course with, who is happy to work together with you, the cost is only an additional $100 for that person.
$550 for two people per term e.g. $275 per person
$650 for three people per term e.g. $217 per person

TERM 2 – God-Centred Relationships
Pre-requisite – God Centred Change – Term 1
This seven week course builds on the content of the God Centred Change course and provides an anthropology and relational model for further integrating the concepts.
Within the group 3-4 Strand groups will be offered with specific knowledge and skills development for:
- Believers supporting family or friends in need
- Pastoral care workers and others in helping professions
- Church leaders, missionaries, chaplains
- Mental Health professionals

Going Deeper
Deeper Application in Life and Service with Christian Wholeness Framework
Pre-Requisite – God Centred Transformation and God Centered Relationship OR Equivalent – Reference Required from Living Wholeness Community
*For those seeking to actively utilising the Christian Wholeness Framework in life and service including formal and informal ministry and professional work.
This eight week course is learner directed and will include the following based on the group request:
- Going deeper with revision of attitudes, skills and knowledge of the Christian Wholeness Framework
- Application in problem based scenarios using the Christian Wholeness Framework e.g. relationships, team work, pastoral care, and training.
- Specialisation topics and skills practice across theology, psychology and integration into community settings
- Training others in the Christian Wholeness Framework

GOD-CENTERED CHANGE

For leaders in churches and organisations with responsibility for congregational leadership, pastoral care, small & youth groups, etc, who want to deepen their theological, anthropological, and relational attitudes, skills and knowledge to foster transformation.
The course consists of two terms of six weeks. Each session is for two hours, Monday 10am-12pm.

INTEGRATING FAITH & PRACTICE
For professionally trained practitioners (counsellors, psychologists, GPs, etc.) in the field of mental health, seeking to integrate faith and practice, utilising case-based, interactive learning processes.
The course consists of two terms of six weeks. Each meeting is for one and a half hours, Monday 5-7:00pm.
