BST Graduation 2025: Celebrating new beginnings

It was with a great deal of delight and excitement that we joined with our 2024 BST graduates to recognise and celebrate their achievements on Thursday, 20 March and City North Baptist Church.

This year, 28 students graduated with a range of degrees, from Certificates to their Masters, and everything in between. A number of our students were unable to attend on the night—in several instances, because they are already serving overseas or interstate and were not able to make the trip back to Brisbane—but 13 of those graduates were on hand to receive their awards in person.

John Coulson, our beloved (and recently retired) former Deputy Principal delivered words of encouragement and exhortation to our graduates (and to the rest of us as well!), and we even had a couple of students Zoom in to receive their prizes (with mixed success; don’t you just love technology!).

While graduation marks the close of a chapter in many ways, it is also only the beginning of a new adventure, a new journey into what God has prepared for each of us. We know that for some of our graduates, they are already pursuing a career in missionary service, or pastoral ministry. Others are returning to their churches as lay preachers, ministry leaders, and advocates for safeguarding children and proclaiming the gospel to our young people through youth groups and bible studies.

Whatever God has in store, we pray for our graduates, we honour them, and we look forward to a bright future for each and every one.

Graduation Offering

On the night, we asked for help to secure funding for up to three new computers for our student computer lab (given that the previous computers have been in residence there for a dozen years or more!). We are pleased to announce that we received more than sufficient funds for one computer, and we will commit to purchasing a second computer, also.

If you would like to still contribute to this Graduation Offering to help us purchase the third and final computer, you can do so by giving here. Thank you!
