Bachelor of Ministry

The Bachelor of Ministry equips Christians to use their passion, skills, and knowledge for effective service in church and mission settings.

Throughout this program, you will explore core principles and practices essential for impactful ministry. You’ll receive a comprehensive overview of the Bible, explore the history and purpose of the church, and engage with significant theological doctrines to understand their relevance to Christian life. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to specialise in practical ministry areas.

By completing this course, you will be well-equipped to serve effectively in various Christian ministries, both locally and globally, making a meaningful impact in the church and beyond.

Comprehensive Biblical and theological foundation

Start with a broad overview of the biblical text and dive into key sections and major theological doctrines. This foundational knowledge will equip you with a thorough understanding of ministry principles and their application in contemporary contexts.

Specialised ministry training

Choose from specialised learning pathways such as Evangelism & Missiology, Pastoral & Church Focused Ministry or Development & Education Ministry. These pathways allow you to tailor your studies to match your specific interests and career aspirations, preparing you for targeted roles in Christian ministry and leadership.

Practical experience and supervised learning

Combine your academic studies with practical experience through supervised practice-based learning. This hands-on approach ensures you not only gain theoretical knowledge but also apply it effectively in real-world ministry contexts.

Pathway to impactful careers

The Bachelor of Ministry prepares you for a range of roles, including pastoral positions, local and international mission work, church planting, and chaplaincy. This degree is widely recognised for meeting ordination requirements, though some denominations may have additional specific training needs. BST can assist you in planning your pathway to meet these requirements.
