Brisbane School of Theology will launch its Centre for Asian Christianity at the upcoming missions conference next Saturday, 23 July.
The Centre for Asian Christianity is a new initiative that builds on more than 20 years of BST serving the Asian community, teaching theology and ministry courses in Mandarin.
The Centre’s Director Rev Andrew Prince, who has just completed his PhD on communicating the gospel cross-culturally, is thrilled with BST’s new initiative.
“BST is an evangelical and interdenominational Bible college that has been focused on collaboration with churches and mission organisations, and our Centre for Asian Christianity enables us to partner more closely with Asian Christian leaders to equip and resource Christians for effective contextual Asian ministry,” Rev Prince said.
“We recognise that many Christian organisations and training institutions have contributed to the spread of the gospel to Asia and we want to see this work continue.”
BST’s Centre for Asian Christianity will be focused on training, research and collaboration, with a particular emphasis on East Asia.
